Introduction

This section discusses three rare and misunderstood disorders that the elementary school teacher usually comes across. Teachers usually find it astonishing, confusing and helpless when it comes to involving them in school activities. The disorders discussed here are Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD), Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) and Autism. There are many children with ADHD, ADD and Autism who have grown up to be successful adults, with the help of parents and teachers.
